Our Story

LKA Recruitment was established In 2018 when Liz took the decision to open on her own, with assistance from Amanda and Helen, who have a wealth of experience and knowledge of the Recruitment industry, especially in the Colchester and Essex/Suffolk areas. This experience together with the experience and expertise that their new Consultants have brought to the business has allowed LKA Recruitment to move forward with energy and enthusiasm, helping many Candidates find the perfect position and Clients the best Candidate for the job.

LKA is a modern Agency with old fashioned values, between us we have over 100 years in the Recruitment Industry our knowledge is second to none, we believe in giving our Candidates and Clients a professional and personal service, finding out their exact requirements, this enables us to match candidate to client.

We prefer carrying out face-to-face interviews with Candidates (whenever possible) as this gives us the opportunity to build up a mutual rapport and gain a more in-depth idea of their individual requirements. Besides which it’s nice to put a face to a name!

N.B. LKA Recruitment deals with both Temporary and Permanent Placements – Speaking of which, now we come to another equally important aspect of our work, supplying valued Clients with eminently suitable Candidates; Candidates who satisfy all the requirements specified by the Client. The Client expects “a good fit” and so do we!

We get to know our Clients just as we get to know our Candidates; their likes, dislikes, traits, etc., and have known many Clients over a number of years, so are consequently well prepared to satisfy their individual job requirements.

Meet The Team

Liz Mullenger


I have dedicated over 25 years of my career to the field of Recruitment, starting as a Junior Consultant, I gradually took on bigger responsibilities, overseeing the Industrial and Commercial Divisions. Today, I proudly serve as the Director of LKA Recruitment, a testament to the incredible team that surrounds me and our unwavering success. 

At LKA, our commitment is to provide exceptional service to both our esteemed Candidates and Clients. We believe in going the extra mile and extending a helping hand whenever needed. Our success is a direct result of our deep-rooted Recruitment expertise and the harmonious camaraderie we share with our colleagues. We firmly believe in the power of hard work and strive towards achieving our goals with unwavering determination.

Since our inception in 2018, our team has grown significantly, allowing us to diversify into various sectors and serve clients across the UK. The journey hasn’t been easy, but the rewards have been immeasurable, both for our dedicated team and the individuals and organizations we have had the pleasure of working with.

While the pressure of our work can be intense, we find solace in celebrating the little moments together. Whether it’s organizing small events or enjoying breakfasts in the office, we understand the importance of fostering a supportive and enjoyable work environment.

Amanda Doyland

Driving Manager

I have been working with Liz now since 2012 to present.

I have been working in Recruitment for over 25 years, during this time I have worked in many sectors, I realised that my niche was in the Driving Sector and I have now been specialising in this for the last 20 years. At LKA I have managed to grow the division with the help of Morgan, we are quite a formidable team!

I find it very rewarding working with both Clients and Candidates matching everyone to their desired requirements.

When I am not working my time is spent with my two Westies, Smirnoff and Brandi. Along with one of my Westie friends, we organise Westie walks for Colchester where we have had up to 90 Westies attend, they get busier every time, this is turn helps us raise money for a Westie Charity.

Morgan Rampling

Driving Consultant

When I left school I did a Business Administration and ICT Apprenticeship, when I finished this I wanted to find a job which could be my career as well.

I started working with LKA Recruitment as an apprentice in the Driving Division in 2019.  I will be finishing my Recruitment Consultant Level 3 qualification this year,

I work alongside Amanda, whose knowledge and experience have helped me understand the business needs, which in turn has helped me grow in confidence dealing with Clients and Candidates.

Outside of work, I enjoy finding adventurous things to do with my partner and friends, I also like spending time with My Dog Rocky taking him on long walks and to local shows.

Josh Aubrey

Consultant & Social Media/Marketing

I have worked with team at LKA Recruitment since I was 17, originally doing temp work whilst studying at Cambridge University for my Law Degree. I am now working full time in the office working alongside Stephanie doing the social media and marketing, since we started we have improved our reach by over 1200%.

I have also been trained as a consultant and enjoy working alongside Liz and Kathy helping with the Industrial and Commercial Divisions, which have grown tremendously over the past 3 years. Dealing with both clients and candidates is very different every day which I really enjoy.

Anna Easdown

Permanent Consultant

With over a decade in the corporate recruitment world, including roles at Michael Page and internal recruitment at Fortnum & Mason in London, I bring a wealth of expertise to matching top-tier professionals with prestigious roles. I speak Swedish and German and previously lived in both countries, broadening my cultural understanding.

Outside of work you can find me in the garden, tending to my plants like they’re my own little green children. And of course, no day is complete without some quality family time with my real children!


Emma Brown

Healthcare Consultant

I joined LKA Recruitment in September 2023, and bring over two decades of experience in temporary healthcare recruitment to the team. Since 2004, I’ve been dedicated to connecting skilled professionals with temporary positions in the healthcare sector. At LKA Recruitment, I am committed to providing seamless staffing solutions tailored to meet the dynamic needs of our clients in the healthcare industry.

Stephanie Von-Gunten

Social Media & Marketing

I have been with LKA since they were founded, I had also worked with the team previously.

I am one of the marketing and social media team and I really enjoy using my creativity to produce fun and exciting content. While working for LKA, I have graduated from King’s College London with a BSc in Geography as well as graduating from The University of Law with a Masters in Law.

I love my dog and travelling and am very excited to be working for such a rapidly growing company.

Helen Clark MAAT

Accounts Manager

I have been the Accounts Manager at LKA since its launch in November 2018. With over 28 years’ experience in the Accounting field (the majority of this within the Recruitment Industry) the last 2 years have certainly been the most testing. “What doesn’t break us makes us stronger” Although harsh, this quote is usually true.. The Accounts Department continues to grow (with the business) at a rapid rate and I look forward to embracing all the challenges this has to offer.

Karen Emery MAAT

Accounts Assistant

I was one of the first additions to the LKA Team, joining as an Accounts Assistant in February 2019.
Though new to the field of Recruitment at the time, I had worked in various Finance roles within the Public Sector for over 30 years and what started as a 2-mornings a week role, has increased to 3-days a week, as LKA continues to grow.

I am a very social person and holds the position of LKA’s “Entertainments Manager” organising birthdays and other events for the Team.

Outside of LKA, I spend a large part of my time abroad, soaking up the sun and supping on a few cocktails, with special interest in Cyprus and the beautiful island of Kefalonia.
Long may this lifestyle continue!!!

We are currently looking for Recruitment Consultants

We are looking for experienced Recruitment Consultants to join our team, either in the Temporary or Permanent side of recruitment within any sector.

Have you worked as a ‘360’ recruitment consultant before, with a proven track record in business/relationship development, are you able to hit financial targets, you will need to be ambitious and driven to get the results.

Must have a clean driving licence with no points pending
Must have a good knowledge of MS Office,
Must have a minimum of 2 years proven record as a Recruitment Consultant.

Competitive salary and uncapped commission structure.

Proven OTE £35,000.00 and above
