Our client is urgently seeking a Head Chef to work closely with the Head of Facilities, delivering all aspects of catering, organising catering activities and operations ensuring they are kept within budget and on time.
You will be responsible for planning, scheduling and delivering catering for all events and planning menus, preparing, cooking and presenting food to the highest standards.
Keep control of how much stock to order within the agreed budget and stock control limitations to ensure adequate use and avoid waste.
Working with the Head of Facilities, you will need to maintain adequate record keeping, stock control, allergen information and pricing on the till systems, website and mobile app.
You will be required to manage the Line Chef and coordinate the kitchen rota of kitchen porters and customer experience assistants as required. Also, monitor and coordinate the provision of training and staff development for your team.
Health and Safety and Food Safety standards must be adhered to and any issues be identified immediately. Ensure risk assessments are up to date and acted on and ensure that you maintain the hygiene of all kitchen equipment and related areas.
To apply for this role, you must have proven experience in a similar role with relevant qualifications relating to the food and beverage industry. Experience in preparing buffets for small and large commercial events is required, together with excellent knowledge of current production, food safety, health and safety regulations and good practice.
You must also hold a current Food Hygiene certificate. Having competent IT skills, a First Aider qualification and a full UK driving licence would be beneficial but not essential.

The salary for this Head Chef role is £27,800 per year
37.5 hours per week
